Buying a new car?

I was looking over some options and came across this article which has some tips for consumers that seem pretty good: Edmunds.com

I have heard ridiculous stories and become aware of ridiculous schemes that dealers use when selling a car. A couple other tips: Be careful about all the add-ons or add-ins, like insurance, etc.; be mindful of extended warranties. I have found in my law practice that if you have a defect in the vehicle that comes up after the factory warranty is over, then you are much better off, from a legal perspective in dealing with consumer cases, if you have an extended manufacturer’s warranty.

So if you buy a Chrysler, get a Chrysler extended warranty. If you buy a Ford, get a Ford extended warranty. If you buy a GM, get a GM extended warranty. This will give you more legal options down the road. The aftermarket warranty companies do not seem to be as reliable in my opinion and they fight you in Court if there is a problem that they say is not covered and you think it should be.

No matter what precautions you take when buying a new vehicle, you just can’t be sure that it won’t turn out to be a lemon car. If you think you have a lemon, bring it in to the dealer as many times as you need to and contact a lemon law attorney as soon as you can. Most attorney’s who handle lemon law cases do not charge you a fee. In fact, even if you do not want us to take your case immediately, we will still give you advice about how to handle your situation to make sure you are protected down the road. There is no charge for this. so call or email us now for more information.
