If you live in Ohio or Pennsylvania and buy a new car, truck or RV that has a car recall or vehicle defects that can’t be repaired, the lemon laws in both states can help. There is a federal law known as the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act which can help you, as well.
If you think your new car, truck or RV may be a lemon, you will want to talk to an experienced lemon law attorney as soon as possible. The benefits of working with a lemon lawyer include: 1) it shows the manufacturer you are serious about resolving your claim and 2.) there is no out-of-pocket cost to you for doing so. (The manufacturer pays legal fees if the claim is successful).

Lemon law cases usually arise when there is a defect that cannot be repaired in a reasonable number of attempts and/or within a reasonable amount of time. If the defect involves a safety issue – as is the case with the recent Toyota recalls – a single unsuccessful repair attempt may qualify under the Ohio lemon law and the Pennsylvania lemon law.
